The Primus brand might have had humble beginnings as the brainchild of two Swedish men who began to manufacture kerosene stoves in a tiny blacksmith's workshop in Stockholm in the late nineteenth century.

However, over time it has built up a worldwide reputation for producing top quality outdoor cooking, lighting and heating equipment. So much so in fact that Sir Edmund Hillary made sure that he took a Primus stove on his expedition to Mount Everest in 1953 and used it when he reached the summit!
