"Does what it says it does, etc." 1 December 2012

Before I bought this, my principal concern was whether or not I could fit a relatively thick sweater underneath. That wasn't a problem, and I've been getting a lot of use out of the shirt. Stops the wind, breathable. Best use is in the low 50's. Wish it was easier to get Buffalo kit in America.

    Buffalo - good kit 3 September 2012

I've just bought a new Buffalo windshirt to replace the one I'd worn so much over 22 years, and I'm very pleased with it.
I'm glad to see that the traditions established by the founder, Hamish Hamilton, are still going - good kit at sensible prices.
I have three Buffalo shirts, (the most recent the P6 variety, 15 years old, in excellent condition), a Buffalo over jacket, a couple of hoods, a sleeping bag with extra fleece liner, Buffalo fleece trousers, and mitts.
When I did my MLC assessment we were out for three days in atrocious conditons: three of us were in Buffalo while our immensely experienced assessor was in goretex. He was cold and wet while we were damp and warm.
I used my Buffalo kit for many years while paragliding and I now use it for offshore sailing as well as hill walking.
To have warm hands in freezing rain and sleet when gloves can get wet, I find the best thing is to wear Buffalo mitts over thin inners. They get wet (I poked a drainage hole in the mitts with a hot needle, and you need to wring them out occasionally) but the hands stay warm.
    Good kit.

Another excellent piece of kit from buffalo, they are fast becoming my favourite outdoor clothing manufacturer. Much sturdier than most of the competition.

    Buffalo Windshirt 19 January 2012

The product is excellent, hence the reason I purchased a Buffalo windshirt again. The last one I purchased was 15 years ago.

It is still OK but looking very shabby so I will just use it for gardening.

Sadly it took nearly 5 weeks to arrive and I amost cancalled the order after 4 weeks. But my comitement t othe product is too strong...
Now what else can I buy from Buffalo? ;-)
